What’s your income per minute?

Most often when we refer to the income we make we break that down into yearly, weekly or hourly. By breaking down what we make into a smaller time period, we are left with some interesting results. We are going to assume that we work 40 hours per week 50 weeks each year for a total of 2,000 hours of work per year.

Where do you stack up?

Below is a list of what you make per minute compared to your annual wages:

  • $20,000 per year = $0.17 per minute
  • $25,000 per year = $0.21 per minute
  • $30,000 per year = $0.25 per minute
  • $35,000 per year = $0.29 per minute
  • $40,000 per year = $0.33 per minute
  • $45,000 per year = $0.38 per minute
  • $50,000 per year = $0.42 per minute
  • $55,000 per year = $0.46 per minute
  • $60,000 per year = $0.50 per minute
  • $65,000 per year = $0.54 per minute

  • $500,000 per year = $4.17 per minute
  • $1,000,000 per year = $8.33 per minute

The next time you hear “It will only take a minute,” think about what that minute is really worth to you.
