Well, it seems as though August was a little bit tougher month for those making money online. The majority of this month’s posting were a decline over July’s Blog Income Reports. I think typically August is a little slower month overall, so the results aren’t too surprising.
What is interesting is the different ways that people are monetizing their blogs and the differences in how much revenue per visitor each manages to get. Those that cover broad topics tend to have lower revenue per visitor, while those that angle with a focus on products tend to do better.
Good job to everyone on the list!

It’s funny how I have 20 times more visitors but earns only 1/9 of the income (talking about the “Make Money Online Guide” blog)
Guess I need to do more work!

Yeah, I really think it comes down to how well you are converting visitors as well as what your site is about. A big focus for me has always been my revenue per visitor. Of course it depends on what the focus of the site is about as well.

I didn’t earned much too from my blog. Most probably I just monetized my blog with at most three sources of income.

Everyone has to start somewhere, it’s just a matter of continuous work and plugging away at it. Rome wasn’t built in a day and there’s no easy road to riches (unless you’re extremely lucky and happen to come across something that clicks). Good job though, and it’s great to see people sharing how they’re doing and how they’re monetizing their sites.

Thanks for the link on your site and having me on your blog income report roundup.
For me, creating and eBook that was in demand, and then formatting it as an Audio Guide that I could then sell together with the eBook was a great way to generate an income online. Finding that “in demand” subject can be hard, but keyword research and just simply asking around in whatever niche you’re interested in can do the trick. Lastly, you just have to do it. Sitting and hoping something will happen without taking bold actions is the worst thing anyone with a dream can do.
You’re definitely right, Rome wasn’t built in a day and earning a substantial income online does take a lot of work, but hard work will pay off.
Cheers everyone!

No problem at all Pat, that’s awesome how well you’re doing! Thanks for sharing a little insight into how you made some money as it’s always tough to find how people actually make money.
I could not agree with you more about the sitting and hoping – it’s paralysis by analysis. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist, just hard work and ambition. Even mediocre ideas can make a lot of money and become very successful with enough hard work, ambition, and passion behind them.
It will be great to see where you’re at next month!

That’s alright, everyone has to start somewhere and there’s thousands of others who are trying to make even $10 per month – so anyone that can do it deserves a kudos!

Hi Jeremiah,
I may have missed the original posting but I notice the absence of the big bloggers, i.e., John Chow, Staro Yarak, Alvin Phang (moving up the ranks really fast)…
Would be most interested in your sharing with us what you look for to include a blogger on your list>

Valentina, I don’t really look for anything to include bloggers on the list. I try and find anyone who has posted their monthly blog revenue and then put them on the list. Do John Chow, Yaro, and Alvin share their monthly revenue? This list are those who post monthly, and I know John Chow used to – but I don’t think he does anymore.
I’ll compile a list of maybe an estimate of what the big bloggers make (many don’t share their monthly, only every once in a while).
Also, does anyone know if I’m missing some people? Please leave a comment and we’ll add them to the list.

Hi Jeremiah,
You have a point on John Chow … and I don’t think Darren Rowse publishes either (easily up there amongst the tops dogs if not THE Top Dog).
Alvin Phang does publish – his August income is a cool US$18K plus … his blog is http://www.gathersucces.com
Caroline Middlebrook – http://www.caroline-middlebrook.com/blog/ does publish (although according to her blog she is on hols right now so no August stats published).
Does Shoemoney not publish any more either?
I think what happens is that when you pass a certain monthly income, you don’t want to publicize it any more (for privacy and a whole lot of other reasons)…
It would be interesting to follow the above list to see who begins to rise with the tide.

Yeah, I do have Gather Success included in the table above. I did include Caroline in July’s income report roundup here: http://jeremiafroyland.com/marketing/blogging/blog-income-report-roundup-july-2009/.
ShoeMoney doesn’t publish his, and I think you’re right – at a certain point you don’t want to publish it.
I just started doing this last month and plan on doing each month that goes by so we can see how everyone is coming along.
Thanks for the comments and dropping by – it’ll be interesting to see how September shapes up for everyone

…Lol… did not see the big number for Gather Success near the bottom (so used to big numbers being at the top)
Lets all work towards the point where we no longer want to publish our blog incomes!
Success to all.
